New Year's Resolutions

lostforestxxNew Year's Eve last week was kinda nice! We went to Richard & Debbie's house since they hosted for the first time in ages. I brought my little Xbox S so we could play Rock Band and bring back that tradition. I liked that it wasn't crazy loud or crowded. IT WAS A MIRACLE, we actually got to have conversations with people lol. Also, chicken sammies. You can't go wrong with chicken sammies 👌👌👌
I think Skunk and I are becoming typecast by my family as only eating fried chicken, just cuz we don't like seafood... Oh well lol. I'll take a chicken finger any day.
What was REALLY cool was getting to play the new Mario & Luigi on New Year's Day at my in laws while Twilight Zone was on. That is a perfect simulation of New Year's Day in like 2003 or whatever when the original game released. I have such a clear memory of doing that at my parents house, when Aunt Marie and Uncle Frank were over. It was super cozy! Life is cool like that sometimes!
As far as New Year's resolutions go, I definitely need to go to the dentist this year since it's been like a decade or something. Hopefully there's no dentist or dentist-adjacent people reading this who will scold me. I know you're supposed to go every year, and I go for my regular doctor's visits all the time. But the dentist was a combination of never having any noticeable problems with my teeth, and the fact that health insurance is even more confusing than it already is when it comes to dental stuff. Fuck. Hopefully my teeth are okay. I'm fully expecting them to tell me I have like, mouth failure or something lol.
Also, I would like to get as close as possible to finishing Dracanea this year! Originally I had hoped to release it at the end of the year, but I don't think that's happening now. I can't rule it out, especially since I've had a tremendous surge of creative energy lately, but there's going to be a lot of testing that I'll need to do as I get closer to finishing. Oh well, here's to 2026? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
